Our spaces fill very quickly, so we do recommend you enquire as early as possible to ensure you get the sessions and start date you require.
15 hours funded childcare
All parents of 9 month to 2 years, 2 and 3 year olds, and 3 and 4 year-olds are potentially eligible to 15 hours funded childcare.
Funding is only available for the school year, so at Shotley Bridge Nursery we offer the option of stretched funding across 51 weeks of the year. This means that 15 hours becomes 11 hours per week.
30 hours funded childcare
For working parents with 3 and 4 year-olds, families may be able to get 30 hours funded childcare depending on eligibility.
Eligibility criteria includes work requirements, salary, age of children and location. Funding is only available for the school year, so at Shotley Bridge Nursery we offer the option of stretched funding across 51 weeks of the year. This means that 30 hours becomes 22 hours per week.
You may be entitled to 30 hours of free childcare.

Important:
In all instances, funded childcare is capped by the Local Authority at 10 hours per day.

We offer half-day sessions of 5.5 hours per day.
Please ask us for details on how these sessions can be applied to your attendance pattern if you qualify for funding.
Any additional care required outside of funded hours is purely optional and is charged for.
Daily consumable charge (funded days only)
Our daily consumable charge helps cover the cost of food, utilities, cleaning supplies, and other essential resources that support a high-quality learning environment.

• £6 for a full day
This is a voluntary contribution. Should parents wish not to participate, we kindly ask that they provide a packed lunch for their child, following our packed lunch guidance to promote a healthy and balanced diet.
