Meal times are social occasions allowing for the development of feeding skills and the opportunity to enjoy a variety of tastes and textures. Older children are encouraged to set tables, serve themselves and use cutlery. A balanced diet is provided to promote growth and development and is in accordance with the guidelines of the Food Standards Agency.
Fresh, seasonal and homegrown produce is cooked on the premises by trained staff, all of whom have attained Level 2 food hygiene certificates. Nursery menus are rotated on a four-week and seasonal basis including a weaning menu for babies. Vegetarian and special diets are also catered for. We also provide mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks.
